I often need to download Twitter Space recordings to publish on other platforms. Here’s a quick method to get the MP3 file.

Steps

  1. Open Browser Developer Tools

    • Chrome: F12 or Cmd+Option+I (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+I (Windows)

  2. Start playing the Space

    • Begin playback of the Twitter Space recording you want to download

  3. In Developer Tools → Network Tab, search for ‘m3u’

    • Filter by m3u in the Network panel
    • Find the corresponding m3u8 link

  4. Download using a command-line tool

    Terminal window
    youtube-dl <m3u link>

  5. [Optional] Convert to MP3

    Terminal window
    ffmpeg -i <space file> output.mp3
